Building Certification and Consultancy
GMA specialises in all facets of building certification, providing a comprehensive building approval and consultancy service on all types of buildings. With licenses in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, Northern Territory and a wide network of affiliates, GMA can provide certification services anywhere in Australia.
GMA can provide building approvals on a complete range of projects, including:
- New dwellings, Townhouses, Secondary dwellings and dual occupancies

Energy Efficiency and Sustainability
The aim of the energy efficiency requirements are to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through the smart use of energy, with the desired outcome of using less energy for heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting and other domestic services, whilst maintaining expected standards in these areas.
GMA provides a comprehensive service on all matters relating to energy efficiency covering both Volume 1 and 2 of the National construction code (NCC).
Volume 1 relates to class 2-9 buildings which requires compliance with section J. GMA can provide compliance assessments against the requirements of section J as well as providing expert advice on all matters relating to these provisions.
Volume 2 covers class 1 and 10 buildings and requires all residential housing to achieve a minimum 6-star rating under the Nationwide house energy rating scheme (NatHERS). GMA utilises the Building energy rating scheme (BERS) software to assess compliance with these provisions
As well as new building work, GMA can also conduct assessments on exiting homes, such as home sustainability assessments and providing advice on matters relating to thermal and electrical energy efficiency.
Inspections
We provide a full range of building inspections for all regulatory and compliance requirements. Our team of inspectors is second to none and has serviced some of Australia’s largest builders. From single dwellings through to multi-storey blocks and government projects, no job is too big or too small.
We can provide inspection and compliance certification of pool and spa safety barriers and surrounds, and inspection and compliance certification for Specialist Disability Accommodation seeking enrolment under the NDIS.
